Midnight Lullaby Review and Giveaway!

Last month I was contacted and asked if I would review Jane Roman Pitt’s Midnight Lullaby. After listening to some clips on her website I agreed and Jane sent me a copy. I was skeptical at first because it was covers of popular artists and I am usually more of a traditionalist. However, I put the CD on in the car and was immediately entranced.

I really cannot say enough good things about this album. If you like a folk, semi country sound with minimal accompaniment and a voice like warm honey this is the album for you. Jane’s voice is just magical. The music honors the sensitivities of children and adults alike. It is not “kiddie” music in any sense of the word. I have had this in the car (the main place I listen to music) for over a month now and my son requests it over and over.

Some of the songs on the Midnight Lullaby are covers like: “Baby That’s Not All” by Josh Ritter, ” Midnight Lullaby” by Tom Waits, and “The Sweetest Gift” by Sade. My favorites are “Dreaming Sweet Dreams” by Hugh Prestwood and “Welcome Home to Love” by Jane Roman-Pitt herself.

As the Lullaby Lady at Lullaby-Link I am approached to review music on a regular basis. There are very few albums that I tell you about because I will only write a review about a product I feel strongly about. Midnight Lullaby is music worthy of your collection. I have already given a copy to friends with small children and I highly recommend it to you.

Jane was kind enough to supply me with a signed copy of Midnight Lullaby to giveaway!
